Apollo Health Street's parent company, Apollo Hospitals Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding with US giant Tenet Health Corporation. The pact seeks to be an unique exchange programme between the two healthcare majors to learn and share best healthcare practices. Under the pact, both organisations have agreed to share their best practices in creating and maintaining healthcare delivery systems, through exchange programmes. The senior management staff will be imparted training and exposed to the quality delivery standards prevailing in the respective entities, Apollo Hospitals Group chairman Dr Prathap C Reddy told reporters here on Tuesday.
The arrangement has been formalised after a recent visit to Dallas by the Apollo team. Noting that the patient-hospital gap closing in terms of technology and cost factors, Tenet Healthcare Corporation president and CEO Trevor Fetter said India is ahead of the US in healthcare. Impressed by the quality and innovation systems of Apollo Hospitals, he said during a visit to the subsidiary Apollo Health Street in Hyderabad.
Apollo Health Street is among the top five revenue cycle solution providing company in the US. The binding factor being quality, the two healthcare giants seek to ensure excellent outcome and develop clinically yet cost-effective solutions. On the back of rapid growth and an emerging middle class seeking quality healthcare, Tenet is looking to "learn a lot" from Apollo's consumer-driven model. |
